I dislike cluttering up the main category with places that are not in the book but just on the frontispiece map. The new Holy Alliance sub-cat along with Jonathan adding various African countries reminded me of this and a possible solution. I propose we create a "British Empire (The Two Georges)" sub-cat and put all those countries into it so the main cat has only places actually mentioned in the book. - Even better, with the creation of Franco-Spanish Africa and the list of countries it contained. I think the individual articles can have the T2G sub-section removed and we don't have to cat it at all. Frankly, I was not happy with the creation of the Uganda article yesterday. It consists of three sub-sections: it was part of the Greater German Reich in ItPoME, a Race colony in WW and a Lit. Comm. for T2G saying it wouldn't have existed in that TL but the territory was part of F-S Africa. The existing article The Race Colonization has a list of countries that became Race colonies (not yet updated to include Uganda) and such a list can be made for GGR in ItPoME eliminating the need for the article. Likewise for all other countries that can be listed and have their articles eliminated if there is no more to them. This would be more useful for the user than trying to poke through articles even if they are grouped together in categories. ML4E (talk) 15:42, April 17, 2018 (UTC)
- I noticed we had British African Possessions (The Two Georges). That seems a viable place to list places, akin to Provinces of the NAU. TR (talk) 16:59, April 17, 2018 (UTC)
