There's more to the story but I've hit all the main points. I'll flesh out some of the details later.

It could have gone either way. Apparently vampires had their own little country in the story. I haven't read it, so I figured better to be safe. TR 19:48, November 18, 2009 (UTC)
Each region of Europe and the Middle East sees its inhabitants replaced with a species of creature from their own mythologies. In the Slavic regions, that means vampires. A second group of centaurs makes contact with them while looking for undiscovered tin deposits in Southeastern Europe. They don't make much of a splash in the story, but they're there, or at least they appear offstage. Turtle Fan 19:54, November 18, 2009 (UTC)

My mistake. I based my question on the story discription and didn't notice the vampire article within the category. TF, is this really enough to call the story a "Vampire Story" or is the category considered broad enough to include any story that mentions vampires? ML4E 20:06, November 18, 2009 (UTC)

We're talking about one reference to an offstage event that makes up a very secondary part of the report the one centaur is giving the other. I don't know how liberally we want to set the criterion for a "vampire" story, but unless we're saying "any story that contains vampires," this is going to be a tough sell. Doing so would be problematic, as they're treated as more of a natural phenomenon. However, we could probably shake a couple more characters loose on a reread, if anyone has a copy handy. Turtle Fan (talk) 07:41, June 26, 2016 (UTC)
