We'll have to tighten this up one of these days. Both scientists and sci-fi writers understand the word "starship" to refer specifically to spacecraft designed to travel interstellar distances. Orbital and interplanetary spacecraft are separate categories. Turtle Fan 07:05, June 18, 2012 (UTC)

I was thinking along the lines of moving the non-interstellar craft to "Spacecraft" and keeping the true starships in here as a subcat. Thoughts? Turtle Fan 15:49, June 18, 2012 (UTC)

This makes good sense. I agree. ML4E 15:58, June 18, 2012 (UTC)

Bump. Any other comments? ML4E 16:19, June 30, 2012 (UTC)

If we have enough to make the split, I'm for it. TR 19:42, July 2, 2012 (UTC)

Sorry for all the delays with this category, I've been in a bit of a transitional period and have been pretty busy. Add to that the facts that I haven't read anything by HT in quite some time and that CdE speculation appears to have run its course, and cutting back my involvement here seemed a harmless way to free up a little more time. I do intend to contribute at my usual rate once I start reading CdE. I only just read the preview scenes tonight. That's why I'm here, in fact; I intended to write a few articles--decent of HT to give us a new historical right off the bat like that, by the way--and didn't realize the preview had been available for some time elsewhere. Figured I might as well do the starships while I was here. Turtle Fan 03:37, July 16, 2012 (UTC)
