Addition by Jonathan in bold which I disagree with:

"This category should be limited to those monarchs (including Moorish ones) who ruled in Spain prior to 1516, and fictional monarchs who only ruled part of Spain."

I take it its for the "Unnamed King of Aragon" which is the king of Aragon (duh) and not of Spain. ML4E (talk) 16:15, September 29, 2018 (UTC)

And a queen of Castile, too. I think we can just rewrite it a bit; when I first created the category I took it for granted HT would never actually tell a story involving a divided Spain set past 1516. I think a more generic "This category is for monarchs (historical and fictional) who ruled a part of what became Spain." Or something along those lines. TR (talk) 16:22, September 29, 2018 (UTC)
I would dump such people into Miscellaneous European Monarchs or whatever it's called. The existence of a Spanish monarchy seems pretty all-important to something like this. It's one thing to use that name for people whose history would include such a monarchy, quite another for those in timelines where it's never existed.
Again, see subcategory Category:Monarchs of Spain. TR (talk) 05:11, September 30, 2018 (UTC)
I would also like to give Jonathan a stern reminder about operating by consensus-building. When was the last thing he actually ran a substantive proposal past us before just going ahead and doing it? Turtle Fan (talk) 03:28, September 30, 2018 (UTC)
