I think we should sort out the air force personnel from the pleasure flyers/hobbyists. We did something similar with Category:Navy Personnel and simple Category:Sailors. TR (talk) 22:35, 16 November 2020 (UTC)

We also have Bruce McNulty who left the Air Force and became a crop-duster at the end of the Hot War series. I think a Military/Civilian split would be useful. We could separate out commercial pilots later the way we did fishermen. ML4E (talk) 16:28, 17 November 2020 (UTC)

In the time frame HT usually writes in, yes. These days, much less so. However, unless its explicitly stated, I wouldn't assume it. I'm thinking of MFC characters where we don't get much background, not the McNulty types. ML4E (talk) 22:00, 17 November 2020 (UTC)
