I think there's a couple Greeks from 127 who could go here. Turtle Fan 20:30, 19 June 2007 (UTC)

Citizens of the ancient poleis[]

This conversation was begun over at Talk:Areton--should we review splitting up this category a bit to reflect the ancient city states? We have Athenians, Rhodians, and maybe even some Spartans. TR (talk) 22:26, 14 December 2020 (UTC)

I did think of this and agree that splitting out some of the poleis would be useful. More generally, should we split out Ancient and Modern Greeks? We do have Romans separate from Italians. ML4E (talk) 16:17, 15 December 2020 (UTC)
Ancient Greeks, with Ancient Athenians, Rhodians, etc as sub-cats makes sense. TR (talk) 16:55, 15 December 2020 (UTC)
Obviously Rhodians would be a large category. I'm sure Athenians is viable thanks to "The Daimon," and if we ever get around to cataloging Owls to Athens it would grow more. I suspect it would be just those two, but it makes a good start. Turtle Fan (talk) 22:53, 15 December 2020 (UTC)

I believe I have properly set up the nested categories. I will continue to create redirects for the Minor Hellenic Traders Chars and use these as appropriate. If anyone wants to take a crack at doing up the narrative and changing it in "Greeks", please feel free to do so. ML4E (talk) 00:01, 16 December 2020 (UTC)

Well that's a good job well done TR. I wonder if the two sub-cats in "Rulers", namely "Rulers of Athens" and "Monarchs of Macedon‎" should be double cated into their respective poleis as well? ML4E (talk) 17:35, 16 December 2020 (UTC)
