- Part of that is because Detinans usually follow the Union fashion of naming battles for rivers rather than the Confederate one of naming them for towns. E.g. Bull Run is Cow Jog but Manassas has no analogous name.Matthew Babe Stevenson (talk) 08:50, September 19, 2019 (UTC)

Cities without provinces[]
There are five Detinan cities without stated province names. One of them is Georgetown, Detina. Perhaps the others should be made into "City, Detina" for consistency.Matthew Babe Stevenson (talk) 19:05, 31 May 2023 (UTC)
- Do the other cities in question share a name with an OTL city or other fictional city in the Turtledove/Frankos bibliography? That is the only policy to be consistent with. TR (talk) 19:38, 31 May 2023 (UTC)
- Doing a spot-check, I see that JCC renamed a number of cities that had no confusing alternate (e.g. Fat Mama, Peachtree) to include the province. I really should have objected at the time but I certainly don't see the need to continue to do so and perhaps should revert those changes. ML4E (talk) 15:18, 1 June 2023 (UTC)
