I recall that in RB, in the opening chapter, some of those executed by the Auto da fe were offered to be strangled to death before being set alight. Did that happen to a character we have an article for or not? I poked around a little but didn't find anything suggestive. ML4E 21:12, January 11, 2012 (UTC)

Pretty sure what's-his-name died while on fire. TR 21:42, January 11, 2012 (UTC)

My recollection was that it was offered to those who would repent before death. Edward Kelley offered to repent but was deemed insincere while Philip Stubbes heroically refused to do so. I just wondered (without much likelihood) if there was anyone else who had repented and received a merciful death. ML4E 21:54, January 11, 2012 (UTC)

Those are the only two identified by name in that scene. Turtle Fan 22:24, January 11, 2012 (UTC)

Ah well, I didn't think there were more but it didn't hurt to ask. ML4E 22:20, January 12, 2012 (UTC)
