Each of these works took place, whether in part or in whole, in the same year that the work was published, although circumstances may be somewhat changed in Alternate History and Fantasy works. If no explicit date is given, and the setting is not obviously in a past or future age, then the events of the work are assumed to have occurred in the year it was published.
