This category is for people, both historical and fictional, who were citizens of the German Democratic Republic, a.k.a. East Germany, and appear in one or more of the works of Harry Turtledove. The GDR's duration in OTL was shorter than the lifetimes of many people, so a large percentage of East Germans were born in a unified Germany before 1945, and/or lived to see reunification in 1990.
