Holidays

This category contains holidays that are particularly relevant to the plot of one or more of the works of Harry Turtledove. For example, occasional scenes in Turtledove's works may feature characters celebrating American Thanksgiving. However, as of yet, Turtledove has not incorporated Thanksgiving as a specific plot point, beyond a passing reference to the Thanksgiving Revolt in "Must and Shall". On the other hand, Christmas and Easter are uniquely important to the plot of Ruled Britannia, because a dispute over the correct dates of these holidays is used by the English Inquisition to root out dissenters.

This category includes both historical holidays celebrated in OTL, and holidays created specifically by Turtledove for his works.
