This is a broad catch-all category for the deities of the Ancient Greek and Roman pantheons. Several of these deities appear in a Harry Turtledove fantasy work, or are somehow otherwise relevant to defining a plot or character.

While the Romans borrowed a great deal from the beliefs of the Greeks, there were still differences between the two cultures that influenced how each defined their respective gods. A few gods were unique to one culture or the other. During the golden age of their Empire, the Romans also syncretized gods from diverse cultures such as Egypt and Persia into their pantheon.

The somewhat counterintuitive presence of Jesus Christ in this list is due to his unusual cultural significance in the world of Agrippan Rome depicted in Gunpowder Empire.
