Chief Justice of the Confederate States[]
In OTL, the Constitution of the Confederate States called for a Supreme Court based on the U.S. version. However, during the brief period that the Confederate government was viable, no justices were nominated and no sessions convened.
The only Turtledove work where a Confederate Supreme Court exists is Southern Victory, and the only Chief Justice named is James McReynolds, who appears in the American Empire subseries.
In The Guns of the South, a hypothetical Confederate Supreme Court is discussed but never takes form.
