Burgos

Burgos is a city of northern Spain, at the edge of the central plateau, with about 178.000 inhabitants in the city proper and another 15,000 in its suburbs. It is the capital of the province of Burgos.

Burgos was José Sanjurjo's first stop when he returned to Spain from exile in Portugal to lead the Nationalist faction of the Spanish Civil War.
