Burebistu was the king of Sibiu at the outset of the Derlavaian War.[1] He was captured by Algarvian forces in his palace when they invaded,[2] and remained an Algarvian captive and puppet until Sibiu was liberated by Kuusamo some three years later.[3]
Literary note[]
Sibian names are derived from Romanian. Burebistu or Burebista was an ancient Dacian king, considered a national hero in present-day Romania.
