Mujahideen Soviet Union Dragon of Bulola

Bulola (also spelled Bolowleh) is a city in Baimain Province, Afghanistan.

For centuries, a dragon slept in the mountains outside of Bulola.

Mujahideen fighter Abdul Satar Ahmedi hailed from Bulola. When the Soviet Union invaded Afghanistan in the late 1970s, Bulola fell under Soviet occupation. Sergei and his unit were stationed there.

When the Mujahideen launched an attack to retake the city, the battle awoke the dragon. Panicked, the Soviet troops attacked the dragon, which incinerated the entire garrison.

Bulola was retaken by its inhabitants, and the dragon went back to sleep.
