Bob Hope in "News From the Front"[]

On January 15, 1942, Variety reported that the new anti-war film The Road to Nowhere was in production, with "two big stars and a gorgeous gal."

Literary comment[]

Although the names of Crosby, Hope, and Lamour are not mentioned in the story, this is a clear reference to their "Road to" films.
