Harry Lillis “Bing” Crosby (May 3, 1903 – October 14, 1977) was an American popular singer and actor whose career lasted from 1926 until his death.

One of the first multimedia stars, from 1934 to 1954 Bing Crosby held a nearly unrivaled command of record sales, radio ratings, and motion picture grosses.

Between 1940 and 1962, Crosby starred with Bob Hope in seven films known as the "Road to" series.

Bing Crosby in Worldwar[]

In 1964, Bing Crosby starred with Red Skelton in a movie in which the two comedians got the best of a number of Lizards.[1]

Bing Crosby in "News From the Front"[]

On January 15, 1942, Variety reported that the new anti-war film The Road to Nowhere was in production, with "two big stars and a gorgeous gal."

Literary comment[]

Although the names of Crosby, Hope, and Lamour are not mentioned in the story, this is a clear reference to their "Road to" films.
