Dr. Bill McCoy was the husband of Trina Hutchinson, a computer programmer for You Are There. They had been members of an amateur orchestra in their youth. A big fan of the Lakers, he often went out with his brother Patrick to see Shaquille O'Neal play. However, he also used this as a cover story for his adulterous affair with Andrea, the older sister of one of his patients. Andrea became pregnant, so Bill had to confess to Trina of his adultery, and that he would have to divorce Trina and marry Andrea.
