Baroyeca is a former mining town in southern Sonora, Mexico. It is now a "ghost town".

Baroyeca in Southern Victory[]

Baroyeca was a small mining town in the Confederate state of Sonora. It was the hometown of Rodriguez family.

Like most Sonoran towns, it was once a stronghold of the Radical Liberal Party for most of its history. In the 1920s, however, Freedom Party organizer Robert Quinn's effective recruitment allowed his party to surpass the Rad Libs, and Baroyeca's Congressional district became the first in the former Mexican states to elect a Freedom Party candidate to the Confederate Congress, long before Jake Featherston was elected President.
