The Balmoral-Osborne Hotel de Luxe was a hotel in Marianske Lazne, Czechoslovakia. Peggy Druce stayed there during part of her European vacation in 1938. Her sleep was interrupted when the GermanLuftwaffe launched an air raid on Marianske Lazne as part of the opening actions of their war against Czechoslovakia. She and the Balmoral's other guests evacuated chaotically. Somehow, the kitchen staff still managed to put out a breakfast buffet.
