"Audubon in Atlantis" is a short story originally published in the December 2005 issue of Analog. It was reprinted in The Year's Best Science Fiction: Twenty-third Annual Collection (ed. Gardner Dozois, St. Martin's/Griffin) in 2006 and Atlantis and Other Places in 2010. It is the first published work in the Atlantis Series. It details an excursion by John James Audubon to the mini-continent of Atlantis as he searches for honkers.
