The Atheters were the natives of the planet Athet. They resembled blue monkey or apes, but with scaly, almost reptilian skin. They shared their planet with the omphoth, a large wild beast which they regarded as a nuisance.
In the 30th century (Earth calendar), merchant Jennifer Logan helped the Atheters solve a bizarre problem with their ecology.
