Anna was the wife of Theodore. When her husband was murdered, Anna loudly demanded justice. She gave Father George an ultimatum: if he didn't find Theodore's killer in a few days, she would go to Amorion and bring the authorities. This would have been bad for the village of Abrostola, which took great pride in its icons; the government under Emperor Constantine V had taken an iconoclastic stance. While Anna would have been pained by the loss of the icons, she felt justice for her husband was more important.[1]
Fortunately, George was able to unmask the killer.[2]
