America's Number 10 was the official residence and seat of government for the Governor-General of the North American Union. It was located in the capital Victoria. The name was derived from 10 Downing Street, the official residence of the British Prime Minister. It was a two story building of white marble with long north and south wings and a colonnaded main entrance.
In 1995, Colonel Thomas Bushell met Sir Martin Luther King and General Horace Bragg in the Green Room of the residence to discuss his progress investigating the theft of The Two Georges on his arrival in Victoria.
The entrance hallway was decorated with portraits of past Governors-General, including Andrew Jackson, Stephen Douglas, and Martin Roosevelt.
