"All Aboard!" is a short steampunk fantasy story by Harry Turtledove, published in On the Train, edited by Mike Resnick, Arc Manor in October, 2012. It is set in a world where magic and science coexist organically.
Javan, a young man from the tropical city-state of Pingaspor, leaves home to seek employment on The Train, a massive transportation enterprise which runs all over the planet. Over the next few years, Javan has many novel experiences while meeting many people from diverse cultures. He falls in love with Luisa, a fellow Railroad employee, whose homeland Namila has occasionally been at war with Pingaspor.
Turtledove's daughter Rachel Turtledove wrote the story in the back of the anthology, "First Passage," set in the same universe, but with no overlap of characters.
