Sergeant Albert Dieselhorst was Lt. Hans-Ulrich Rudel's tail gunner and radio operator from the beginning of World War II. He earned an Iron Cross First class for accompanying Rudel in the test flight of his idea of arming Stukas with a pair of 37mm antipanzer weapons.
