Abrostola was a village five or six miles north of Amorion, the capital of the Anatolic Theme within the Eastern Roman Empire.[1] During the reign of Constantine V, a farmer named Theodore was murdered in Abrostola.[2] Abrostola's priest, Father George, was able to solve the murder.[3]
